讲座题目:电动汽车双三相电机设计、多相逆变器直流排电容设计

讲座摘要:

The presentation will discuss the findings from 2 Ph.D. research studies:

 (1) Dual Three-Phase Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machine Investigation for Battery Electric Vehicle Power-trains

A dual three phase machine with IPM rotor and distributed winding has been studied and compared to a commercial automotive traction machine, the Nissan Leaf IPM machine. The performance of the two designs are compared for typical traction operating points, via high torque, low speed and low torque, high speed, constant power field weakening operation. The dual three-phase machine is shown to have improved torque density and torque quality without compromising efficiency.

 (2) “Multiphase Voltage Source Inverter DC-link Capacitor Considerations”

The investigation methodology and procedure for arbitrary phase number two level voltage source inverter (VSI) DC-link capacitors are developed including VSI DC-link capacitor introduction, multiphase VSI modelling and investigation method and capacitor requirements etc., based on which the DC-link capacitor requirements are analytically characterized for different phase number VSIs. Under the equitable operating conditions, the increase of the phase number inherently alleviates the DC-link capacitor requirements. Other factors, e.g. switching strategies, carrier waveforms and interleaving techniques, also determine the DC-link capacitor requirements. For the higher phase number VSIs, their increased configuration flexibilities make it possible to further decrease the DC-link capacitor requirements. The study is partially validated experimentally through the 3- and 9-phase VSIs driving brushless permanent magnet (BLPM) machines. Finally, the DC-link capacitor design procedure is proposed for two level multiphase VSIs.
