On November 21, 2020, the Huihai Dahang Qingdao International Shipping Trade and Finance Innovation Center Summit and the 3rd Global Alumni Reunion of Shanghai Maritime University, co-hosted by Qingdao Municipal People's Government and Shanghai Maritime University (SMU), was held in Qingdao, Shandong Province, China. Professor Yang Yongsheng, Dean of the Institute of Logistics Science and Engineering, Associate Professor Han Xiaolong, and the Qingdao MEM master students of the class of 2020 attended the event. The postgraduates said that by participating in this summit and networking event, they had had a better understanding of SMU’s history, its current status, and the achievements it had made in recent years in terms of internal optimization. They also appreciated more the prominence of SMU alumni network, and gained more confidence for future studies and careers.
