Research Results of ILSE Displayed at the Shenzhen International Artificial Intelligence Technology Products Exhibition Center

    

     On December 6, the Shenzhen International Artificial Intelligence Technology Products Exhibition Center of China Industrial Development Institute (CIDI) was officially launched. Institute of Logistics Science and Engineering of SMU became one of the first organizations to display their research results in the Center. Vice Dean Chang Daofang directed the arrangement of exhibits and attended the launch ceremony.

     Before the opening ceremony, Institute of Logistics Science and Engineering made meticulous preparation and communicated with the Center thoroughly. The Institute and the Center have signed an agreement that the Center will provide the Institute a booth for free for the next year. Exhibited in the booth are display boards, light boxes and videos, giving information about of the features and status of the Institute’s disciplines, key research bases and scientific research results, and the application of its technologies in social service. Videos and displayed products introduce the technological results in unmanned surface vessels (USV), exemplified by two vessels, Haiteng and Haixiang. After the ceremony, leaders of National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), Shenzhen, and the CDCI visited the booth, and paid much attention to the USV technology, which will be prioritized in the first batch of 5G technology-enabled projects to materialize next year.

     Supported by NDRC and MIIT, the Shenzhen International Artificial Intelligence Technology Products Exhibition Center for Technologies of Artificial Intelligence Technology Products serves as a platform for display and exchange for research results, technologies, and products of domestic and overseas AI companies, research institutes, and institutions of higher education. The Center presents an extensive collection of advanced technologies and products related to Artificial Intelligence, including 5G communication, intelligent transportation, industrial Internet + smart manufacturing, unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) systems, unmanned driving systems, and unmanned surface and underwater vehicle systems. Located in Consumer Electronics Exchange/Exhibition Center (CEEC) in Futian District, Shenzhen, CIDI Phase I encompasses an area of 1,500 square meters, and phase II covers 20,000 square meters. By far, research results of a number of companies and universities have been displayed here, including that of Huawei, Baidu, Alibaba, ZTE, Foxconn, Siemens, Haier, China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (developer of Caihong UAVs), the big three telecom operators, namely China Mobile, China Unicom, and China Telecom, and prestigious Chinese and foreign universities.
